This Cottage was built in 1902 and was then the School Masters residence.
The School was situated in an adjoining paddock; it was closed in 1952.
Unfortunately the building was destroyed in 1972; also the tennis court has disapeared over time. The original being two acres when a further two acres were purchased to allow for a tennis court in 1948. The cost for those 2 acres was Twelve Pounds per acre.
The gardens, fountain and pool is set in one acre of a 4 acre block.
Location Deeb's Wing at Buckaroo Cnr Cassilis Road & Buckeroo Lane Mudgee, NSW 2850 Mudgee is a small country town approximatly three and a half hours drive from Sydney. The area is well known for its Boutique Wineries and Honey, Regional cuisine. It is also a cattle and sheep area. |
