Holly House was built as a pair of miners' cottages in 1874. Since then it has been occupied by a variety of people including the village postman. It has been extended and is now a comfortable family house. When we arrived in 1998 we capitalised on the amazing view by building a large conservatory. At the same time we landscaped the 2 acre garden, putting in two pools planting up a small arboretum, making a herbaceous border and vegetable garden. We have a gallery which has sculpture, paintings
