We are located in the heart of Jedburgh, Scotland at48 Castlegate, just below the town’s old castle gaol, and a short walk to the historic abbey. You can enjoy a view of the abbey from one of the rooms in Meadhon House.In 1812, Miss Cruickshank married Mr. Henderson, a writer from Jedburgh. When she was only 12, Robert Burns wrote two poems about her A Rosebud by my Early Walk and Beauteous Rosebud, Young and Gay. She died in 1835 and lies buried in Jedburgh Abbey churchyard. The dining room in Meadhon House is named in her honour.
