Bellevue House | Property number 6841 |
Bellevue House was built as a one-storey cottage around 1846 and became the home of Thomas Tod Stoddard (1810-1880), advocate, poet and professional angler, whose best work was perhaps 'Stoddart's Angler's Companion'. The family remained in the house after his death and his daughter Anna (1840-1911) wrote many biographies, including that of Professor John Stuart Blackie.
