Argiano in Chianti is a 12th century, privately owned 250 acre wine estate, once owned by the Vatican, and situated on a hill top in the Chianti hills. The estate has vineyards, olive groves, a century old forest with the river Arbia bordering the estate. The hamlet has been restored to provide 12 self contained holiday apartments with large swimming pool set in lovely gardens and is centrally located, being only 12 kms from Siena, and in the commune of Castelnuovo Beradenga. The local village Pianella is 1.5 klms with bank, pharmacy, petrol, bakery, 2 bars with fresh groceries, a Trattoria/pizzaria. Argiano is mainly adults only at the request of our clients who return yearly for it's peace and tranquility. Payment Policy All rates are quoted in EURO. Payments accepted by credit card (Mastercrd and Visa) Bank transfer,Paypal. All details on request. A 25% deposit is required to secure the reservation on confirmation of a reservation. The balance is to be paid on arrival. Credit card details and passport are to be given at check in. A new tourist tax applies from April 2012 at €1.50 per person per day for the first 7 days stay payable locally. Cancellation Policy CANCELLATION TERMS: If you cancel your reservation the following terms apply: 30 days before is 25% of the total 29-15 days before is 30% of the total 14-7 days before is 50% of the total 6-0 days before is 80% of the total Rules Office hours: 9-12am Monday – Friday 5-7pm (For check out if required) Saturday 8-12pm and 3-7pm (15-19hrs) Closed Sundays & Big festival days. Weekly arrivals are requested to give an estimated time of arrival. Arrival times are from 3-7pm (15-19) on Saturdays and 3- 6pm weekdays. Note: As the office is closed on Sunday, Instructions are left how to locate the apartments with the key inside. Wi-Fi, Car Parking is included in a designated area for all clients. All furniture should be in the same place as it was on arrival and we ask to 'Leave as you find' The kitchen should be clean, dishes washed, and refrigerator wiped down and rubbish thrown out. The thermostat should be turned to 55 degrees during winter months as gas is expensive to use in Italy. All bottles and waste should be bagged and disposed of in garbage can at the entrance. NO SWIMMING after 7.30pm and guests are kindly asked for their respect for others. Leave keys at check out with the office reception. June to 2nd week of September is an adults only structure, at our clients request, and we are happy to welcome children out of peak times.
