The Old Convent is one of Kaikoura's few historic buildings. Built for a French order in 1911 the convent and the schoolroom house 17 rooms, each with its own bathroom. Light or cooked breakfast is offered in the sunny dining room and many guests enjoy eating outside on the deck, which overlooks the lawn, fruit trees and deciduous trees. The Old Convent has been a special bed and breakfast for over a decade.
The convent is just three minutes from Kaikoura town centre.
