We had a lovely stay with Ruth and Jeremy. A good, quiet location that is only 5 minutes walk from the centre. Ruth and Jeremy were very welcoming and the breakfasts were great - home made bread and preserves, and fresh fruits. Would definitely stay there again.

Paul and Irene - 22/10/2007 What a fantastic place to stay! We stayed for two nights over labour weekend, and had a ball. The food was good, the rooms were comfortable, Ruth and Jerry are friendly, the place is child friendly. Every effort was made to make us all feel comfortable, and our hosts have excellent local knowledge. Even our very shy 20 month old warmed to Ruth and (especially) Jerry very quickly. Fiona - January 07 The Green House on the Hill is exactly what is says - it is on a steep hill but with fantastic views over Napier and the Pacific Ocean. We had a double room which had it's own main door access so we could come and go without disturbing anyone. It also meant that we could park our car right outside which was very handy. The room was very nice with a lovely fresh feel. We had a firm double bed and also a couple of chairs to relax in. The en suite was clean and the shower was good. The owner Ruth was very welcoming and friendly. We were offered internet access and clothes washing facilities. We had arranged to have dinner that night with Ruth and it was wonderful to have home cooked food (the food was excellent - vegetarian). We sat outside for dinner and relax in good company and wonderful views. I would definitely go back there and would highly recommend
