Throughout our home, we have brought in the best of furnishings and décor. This combines with our home’s position, ambience, and an architectural design which captures the view while maintaining privacy - creating a wonderfully relaxing setting. The 270-degree outlook from the main living areas stretches from the Remarkable Mountains on the left, 30 Km down the lake in one direction, 18 Km across the Lake to Walter Peak in the other direction, and swinging around over Queenstown Bay to Ben Lomond Mountain on the right. The view is breathtaking, and impossible to capture in a photo (though please look at our slideshow for our best attempts!)The home is for all seasons, with several decks and outdoor areas, BBQ settings, and a stacked stone open fireplace for cosy winter evenings (it is also centrally heated).The main bedroom is on the main living level. It has a “Super King Size bed” and outlook through two separate sliding doors to connected decks. It has an ensuite with spa bath, shower, and toilet.The downstairs 2nd bedroom comprises a large room with a Queen sized bed, a lounge, and a large walk in wardrobe. The bathroom ensuite is shared with the smaller twin room. The guest suite has an access to the patio and gardens and can be used for independent entry if required. A 3rd twin bedroom downstairs has 2 ‘king-single’ beds that can be joined as a king size bed if required. A separate toilet is shared with the downstairs office.Our home has 2 levels, each easily accessible. The casual family room (right) has comfortable leather lounge chairs positioned so that you can enjoy the warmth of a log fire in our stone fireplace, or watch the plasma TV with Bose surround sound. This large room also accesses two balconies with outdoor seating and enjoys wonderful lake and mountain views.Our new kitchen has completely modern appliances sufficient for the gourmet cook, and allows easy access to two alternative dining areas - the conservatory with views and access to the rear enclosed courtyard, or the main Dining table in the Lounge with the wrap around views. Office: A separate office has 2 desks, phones, & fax; so that communication and contact can be maintained (or ignored if you’d rather avoid contact!). Wireless broadband internet access is being upgraded currently (early 2009 - BYO Laptop)As an avid gardener, I’ve enjoyed creating our Queenstown garden. Trees and planting shield the house from the road and create a sense of privacy as you enter the upper courtyard which has year round foliage and colour. The lower garden, overlooked by the decks and the floor to ceiling glass have a mix of planting - mainly roses and also including daphne, cherry blossoms, maples, rhododendrons, camelias, and much more - resulting in a variety of colours for different seasons
