Silver Wood is only 45 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs. Guests stay here for the quietness, the superb breakfast, the world-class views and the hosts. Breakfast is served next to the large windows of the Great Room. Deer have breathed on those windows. A bear pressed his nose and paws on those windows. In April the pasque flowers are the first blossoms of the year. In April and May there are surprise snowstorms. In late May or early June you can see the rare fairy slipper.
